Funding for work with Vulnerable Adult groups

The Athena Herd team are very pleased to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. The grant will enable us to deliver a series of programmes for local vulnerable adult groups and those that care for them. Particularly those that have been impacted by the constraints and impacts of ongoing periods of the COVID-19 lockdown.

This funding will enable us to deliver a series of Equine Facilitated programmes that will build foundation skills in emotional and social intelligence. They will provide a foundation on which to build confidence and resilience. As well as providing some useful coping tools for those experiencing mental health challenges.

In addition these sessions create a safe-space for those who feel isolated or disengaged. A safe space in which to explore rebuilding authentic and meaningful relationships with others.

The programmes will be delivered over the next twelve months and we are hoping to support between 30 and 40 individuals.

If you believe that this work could be of interest to your client group, please contact us directly on info@athenaherd.org.

We are really excited to have this opportunity to deliver this powerful work and are very grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for enabling us to do it.
