- Horsepower Partnership
A Privately run Nature Reserve set in 22 acres of ancient woodland in the heart of Shropshire nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Ridgway Hall is home to a mixed herd of native ponies (Shetland, Irish Cobs, Welsh Section C and Exmoor) who are major partners in our Equine Facilitated Learning & Coaching Practice.
15 mins drive from the Medieval Market Town of Ludlow and local train links from mainline stations.
Facilities: Access to our woodland track, outdoor arena, indoor training facilities and woodland walk, round pen and woodland shelter form safe spaces for EFL coaching and development sessions.
The Horsepower Herd:
Practical learning sessions with up to 8 ponies and horses from mini-miniatures to 16.5 hands. The herd encompasses both mares and geldings and ages 3 years to 24 years – with as varied personalities as our unique fingerprints and all are kindly temperaments.
The environment, tasks, and exercises will also create a feeling of ‘connectedness’ which will have a lasting affect of health, well-being and morale for the months to come across the trainers and the students.
This approach will make them more aware, more productive, more open to solutions that have the right fit and also how to make EFL work for themselves and clients.
Additionally, we will be creating new ways for well-being, bringing down stress, frustration and overwhelm and raising up feelings of connectedness, calmness and collaboration.
We do this through connecting with nature, the horses, trainers and clients alike– (harnessing nature based activities) using the consulting and coaching approach approved by Athena Herd Foundation.
