Level 5 Equine Facilitated Practitioner

The Athena Herd Foundation Level 5 Equine Facilitated Practitioner Diploma is externally accredited by the independent professional body, the ACCPH.
The qualification is assessed on a portfolio of evidence basis, based on a guided learning, practical exercises, independent research and case studies. The total qualification time for the Level 5 ACCPH Equine Facilitated Practitioner Diploma is 100 hours (25 hours of direct Learning sessions with the balance made up of individual research and learning, as well as undertaking the relevant case-studies), Completion of both the ACCPH accredited Level 2 Certificate in Equine Facilitated Interactions and Level 4 Equine Facilitated Practitioner Diploma qualifications is an essential prerequisite.
The learning objectives
Learners pre-select two topic modules from the overall six topic modules (A1-A6) that support this qualification. In addition, all learners must complete the practical/personal development module (A7). Each of the topic modules will require a short case study that illustrates application of individual learning in addition to the extended final case study.

Case studies
An important part of the qualification is the completion of individual case studies, as follows:
• 2 short written case study sessions, maximum 1000 words based on at least 3 client interactions;
• 1 extended written case study of around 3000 words (plus or minus 5%) based on a programme of client interventions, between 6 and 10 sessions. Written case-study to be supported by personal research, which will be appropriately referenced in writing.
