Our externally accredited ACCPH Certificate in Equine Facilitated Interactions (Module One) as a standalone Certificate. Also accredited for CPD by the IACP.
Begin your journey into the rewarding field of equine assisted services with our Level 2 Foundation Certificate. This externally accredited qualification serves as both an excellent standalone introduction and the essential prerequisite for advancing to our Level 4 Diploma programme.
We offer two distinct pathways to achieve this foundational certificate, catering to different learning preferences and logistical needs. You can choose to immerse yourself in four intensive days of practical, on-site learning, or alternatively, you can engage with the material through our comprehensive interactive experiential distance learning option, allowing you to study from anywhere.
This certificate introduces the core principles and foundational knowledge underpinning equine assisted services. While focusing on essential theory, it also provides an initial grounding in the practical considerations of the field. Although specific mentoring may be more central to higher levels, learners have access to our supportive learning environment and resources throughout their studies.
The Level 2 Foundation Certificate holds external accreditation from the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists) and is also recognised for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the iacp (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Important Note: While it may be possible to obtain insurance and potentially gain professional membership with the ACCPH upon completion of this Foundation Certificate alone, Athena Herd Foundation strongly recommends progressing to at least the Level 4 Diploma. Achieving the Level 4 Diploma is also the minimum requirement for inclusion on the Accredited Practitioner Register. We encourage you to contact us for more detailed information and guidance on the best pathway for your professional goals.
