Event Description

The course runs over a 12-month period, commencing in September 2026. It is a learner-led combination of an action research project, a written assessment, supported by a documented learner’s reflected diary. Course delivery will be through specific group online topic sessions, supported by online learning materials and direct supervision.

The core of this course is undertaking, and completing, a vocational action research project based around a learner's existing professional practices.

As a Level 7 qualification, final submissions will need to display critical evaluation skills; this means working with or reformulating practical solutions based on conceptual or technological skills and knowledge, as well as a broader understanding of a subject or field of work.

This is a stand-alone course and has its own independent entry criteria. It does not specifically require the prior completion of other Athena qualifications.
