Jane Gilbey

Jane’s background is within the holistic and wellbeing sector, very much focussed around nature and animals, in particular horses. She works with children and young adults offering farm visits, nature experiences and Equine interactions at her farm in Essex. During her early career she has worked with young children, then horses as a groom and yard manager and then within a Veterinary Practice for small and large animals. During this period, the animals have been her greatest teachers, and she engaged in much learning to help animals and so is very focussed on her horses and other animals' wellbeing and meeting their species' specific needs. She offers retreats and farm stays where she combines nature breaks with her holistic modalities and Equine Facilitated interactions for couples, groups and individual travellers.

Since her late teens, she has always had a connection with horses and a bit of a passion for Arabians. Her horses have been her greatest teachers and guided her in learning about horsemanship and most importantly about herself. Recognising how they can positively affect people’s well-being, support people in their personal growth and teach us so much, it was a natural progression to move into the world of Equine Facilitated Learning and interactions.
