We are pleased to be running another Mental Health First Aid programme for our community this spring. Recent conversations with learners have highlighted that there is a strong appetite for this training.

The course will be led by Graeme who is registered trainer with Mental Health First Aid England. The specific dates are 23rd March, 26th March, 30th March and 3rd April, running over consecutive Thursday and Monday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. There will also be a small amount of personal learning to be undertaken around the sessions. The course does not train people specifically to be Mental Health professionals or therapists but provides useful skills and tools to support those who might be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. These tools help us to hold the space and help them find appropriate support or care.

We are offering this at a reduced price of £275 per person for those within the Athena community, MHFA recommends a course fee of £300. We will be open to people outside the community, however they will be asked to pay the full MHFA fee of £300.
